It’s Official: Comstor in Australia

In the last issue we brought you the great news of Comstor’s expansion to New Zealand, and they didn’t stop there. Our dedicated Cisco shop, Comstor, has launched in Australia.

“Comstor is one of two go-to-market brands within Westcon-Comstor and is well established globally as a dedicated Cisco business unit. Therefore, it makes sense to now also unite Cisco’s products under the Comstor brand in Australia and New Zealand to make it easier for solution providers to buy and sell Cisco,” said Dolph Westerbos, CEO WestconGroup.

Australia is one of the last markets in our multi-country network to experience the our dedicated Cisco business. Check out the full article in ARN.

Exchange Opportunity Benefits Staff and Company

What if you could not just visit, but get to live in another country, exploring new places and meeting new people without the hassle of having to start over looking for a great job? That’s exactly what two Westcon-Comstor Services team members were able to do. Dana Oertel, internal sales, and Felix Buehl, project manager, both call Berlin home, but for several months they got to be Australians living and working in Sydney.

From April through June 2015, Dana worked out of the Sydney office and was so thrilled with the experience, she wrote a blog about her time in Australia. Felix is currently covering the European night shift for the Support Hotline from the Sydney location.

“I’ve seen so many amazing things, been a part of some awesome activities and met a lot nice people,” says Felix of his Australian experience.

This exchange is great not only for the people who get to explore some place new, but it also improves how we work globally as a company. The cultural exchange improves our intercompany cooperation and lets Westcon-Comstor exchange more than staff, but also share best practices worldwide. It's an excellent way to use our greatest asset, our people, to make our company better.
